커트 콤라우스는 10년간 디자인에서 부터 패브리케이션까지 첨단 기술들을 통합시키는데 기여하며 프랭크 게리와 함께 게리 테크놀로지를 창립하게한 주요 멤버였습니다. 그는 초창기부터 IDP와 BIM의 발전에 많이 기여한 인물입니다. 현재는 Buro Happold의 LA지사 어소시에이트로 다양한 통합기술, 설계자동화, 특별제작툴 개발, 복합구조 모델링과 분석등에 임하며 다양한 프로젝트를 이행하고 있습니다. 아주 값진 아이아크 프라이데이가 될거라 예상하며 많은 분들의 참석과 홍보 바랍니다.

This coming Friday iArc Architects will be inviting Kurt Komraus (Associate of Buro Happold Consulting
Engineers Inc.) to have a presentation for the bi-monthly iArc Friday Event. Kurt will be having a talk with the title "Digital Methods".
Kurt is an Engineer specializing in the
integration of emerging technologies from design to fabrication. With a keen grasp
of emerging technologies he spent 10 years innovating technology for Frank
Gehry. The early years with Gehry were spent working on projects integrating design
rationalization and information modeling, which led to the founding of Gehry
Technologies (GT). As GT developed software and consulting services, Kurt was
the director of studio design technologies and put the systems and culture in
place that would allow architects to enhance a collaborative design process
while designing and building complex structures worldwide--contributing to
design philosophies like Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and Building
Information Modeling (BIM). Currently Kurt is an associate with the consulting
